Position: Thai Language Trainer
No. of positions available: 1
Length of contract: Minimum 1 year contract with a 3-month probationary period
Oversight: The Trainer reports to the YCF Education Coordinator
Location: Mae Sot, Tak Province, Thailand
Start of assignment: October 2017
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with entry level testing for students
- Translating entry level tests
- Delivering entry level tests
- Grading tests
- Assisting the Education Coordinator with analysis of results for the purpose of curriculum development
- Assisting with curriculum development
- Assisting the Education Coordinator with the development of training and assessment activities
- Translating curriculum materials from English to Thai.
- Delivering and assessing Youth Connect train
- Delivering Thai language training with a focus on practical usage of speaking, listening, reading and writing
- Assessing students’ understanding of the training content
- Giving regular feedback to students on their progress
- Keeping up to date records for student attendance and grades
- Maintaining good relations with partner institutions
- Assisting the Education Coordinator with student apprenticeship placement
Qualifications:
- Has excellent written and spoken Thai skills
- Has excellent communication and team working skills
- Can communicate in English
- Has significant experience as teacher or a trainer – or who is willing to learn
- Will be able to follow and add to training and materials consistent with the planning and values of Youth Connect Foundation
- Is able to learn the Youth Connect Foundation style of planning and lesson delivery
- Is genuinely interested in humanitarian work
- Has good computer skills and is able to manage and keep lessons and information updated
Salary and Benefits:
Salary will depend on experience of candidate and the range of salary is between 7,000 – 9,000 baht.
