22 Fellows from the Rotary Peace Center at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok visited Mae Sot and the Youth Connect Foundation office on February 4th. The Fellows and there colleagues from Chulalongkorn University came to Mae Sot to visit the YCF office and our social enterprises. They learned about the three phases of our Transitions Program (In-School Training, Intensive Training, and Apprenticeships) and they visited the Picturebook Guesthouse and the Puzzlebox Art Studio. While visiting here in Mae Sot, they also had meetings with MAP Foundation, WEAVE, The Thai Immigration Office, the Thai Department of Education, and Mae Tao Clinic. The Fellows were a diverse group from over 16 different countries with careers in law, project management, law enforcement, education, human rights, peace advocacy, and other backgrounds. It was a pleasure hosting them. They will spend a few more weeks doing more site visits in Thailand and then a visit to Cambodia before returning to their countries to continue their work.
